On April 29, the Victory March was held in the university courtyard of KFU’s main building. The event was timed to coincide with the celebration of the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. D.A. Tayursky, Acting Rector of Kazan Federal University, delivered an opening speech, noting the important contribution of Kazan University to the common cause of the victory over Nazi Germany. More than 600 people attended the meeting, including students of the preparatory department. Aslam Hannan, a preparatory Faculty graduate and a first-year master’s student of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication, addressed the gathering students and university students with words of congratulations.

The final part of the event was a performance of the university choir with the song “Victory Day” and the launch of 77 snow-white doves, a symbol of the peaceful sky over our heads.
