STEP-BY-STEP CHECK-IN GUIDE

BEFORE ARRIVAL (In Advance):

  1. Please upload a scanned copy of your electronic or paper ticket (travel document) to your applicant account on the official faculty portal.
  2. If you are under 18 years of age, please download the KFU dormitory accommodation consent form, print it out, and have it signed by your parents (or legal guardians).
  3. Please email a scanned copy of the signed consent form to dormitory.prepschool@kpfu.ru prior to your arrival in Kazan.
  4. Please make sure to bring the signed hard copy (original) of the consent form with you. You will need to hand it in when checking into the dormitory.

Step 1

Arrival and Collecting the Registration Form

Please come to Universiade Village, Building 9. Use the entrance at the back of the building via Checkpoint No. 7 (КПП-7). You will be met by our staff, who will provide an initial consultation and give you your “International Student Registration Form”. Do not forget to bring your passport, original documents, and your migration card.

Step 2

Medical Examination

With your registration form, please proceed to the City Student Clinic No. 21 (GAUZ “Gorodskaya Poliklinika No. 21 ‘Studencheskaya'”), which is a specialized medical facility for KFU students

You need to undergo:

  • RW blood test (Syphilis blood test);
  • Chest X-ray (Flurography examination);
  • General practitioner’s clearance (Medical certificate on your health status from a GP/therapist)

At the same time, you must purchase a Voluntary Health Insurance (VHI) policy to receive medical care in the Russian Federation.

Step 3

Preparing the Full Set of Documents

After obtaining all medical clearances, gather the complete package of documents to conclude your residential tenancy agreement.

List of Documents:

1. Passport — original + 2 photocopies (photo/biodata page + visa page)
2. VHI Policy (Voluntary Health Insurance) — original + 1 photocopy
3. Migration Card — original + 1 photocopy (issued at the border upon entry into the Russian Federation)
4. RW Blood Test — valid for 14 days
5. Chest X-ray Result — valid for 1 year
6. General Practitioner’s Clearance — issued at the Student Clinic No. 21
7. International Student Registration Form — issued in Building 9 upon your initial arrival
8. Photos (3×4 cm) — 3 pieces
9. Parental Consent Form (for minors under 18) — for accommodation in the KFU dormitory

Step 4

Please return to Universiade Village, Building 9, via Checkpoint No. 7 (КПП-7) with your complete package of documents.

University Staff:

  • will verify all your documents;
  • will prepare and issue your residential tenancy agreement;
  • will assign your room and issue your campus pass.

Step 5

You must apply for a temporary residence registration within 1 calendar day from the date of signing the residential tenancy agreement.

HOW TO GET TO UNIVERSIADE VILLAGE

From Kazan city center and the KFU main building:

1. Metro to “Prospekt Pobedy” station, then Bus No. 5 or No. 77 to the “Academician Parin Street” (ul. Akademika Parina) stop;
2. Bus No. 47 — from the “G. Tukaya Square” (Ploshchad G. Tukaya) stop to the “Universiade Village” (Derevnya Universiady) stop;
3. Bus No. 74 — from the “G. Tukaya Square” (Ploshchad G. Tukaya) metro stop to the “Academician Parin Street” (ul. Akademika Parina) stop;
4. Trolleybus No. 8 — from the “G. Tukaya Square” (Ploshchad G. Tukaya) metro stop to the “Universiade Village” (Derevnya Universiady) stop.

From Kazan International Airport:

1. Bus No. 197 — to the “Universiade Village” (Derevnya Universiady) stop, then transfer to Bus No. 5 or No. 77 to the “Academician Parin Street” (ul. Akademika Parina) stop;
2. Suburban train — to the “Kazan-Passazhirskaya” station, then Bus No. 74 from the “Railway Station” (Zheleznodorozhny Vokzal) stop to the “Academician Parin Street” (ul. Akademika Parina) stop.

From the “Kazan-Passazhirskaya” Railway Station:

1. Bus No. 74 — from the “Railway Station” (Zheleznodorozhny Vokzal) stop to the “Academician Parin Street” (ul. Akademika Parina) stop;
2. Bus No. 47 — from the “Chernyshevskogo Street (Moskovskaya Street)” (ul. Chernyshevskogo) stop to the “Universiade Village” (Derevnya Universiady) stop;
3. Bus No. 5 — from the “Said-Galeeva Street” (ul. Said-Galeeva) stop to the “Academician Parin Street” (ul. Akademika Parina) stop.
