February 25th was a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Preparatory Department for international students at KFU. It began with good news: Guzel Fargatovna Makhmutova, PhD in Chemistry, Associate Professor at the Department of General Education Disciplines of the Preparatory Faculty, was awarded a diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan “For her significant contribution to the education and training of the younger generation and many years of conscientious work.” We heartily congratulate Guzel Fargatovna and wish her to reach new heights in her hard teaching work.
One of the main issues, addressed at the Academic Council meeting, was summing up the results of the November international scientific-practical conference Pre-university training of foreign citizens: problems and prospects” which was held on the basis of the preparatory department. The result of the discussions was the adoption of a resolution. “The participants of the Conference are confident that the exchange of opinions on topical scientific issues of teaching Russian language and general subjects for foreign students will be a constructive basis for the further development of pre-university education in the Russian Federation, the countries of near and far abroad.” – is noted in the document. The conference, which was attended by scientists and teachers from 45 higher education institutions in the regions of the Russian Federation, near and far abroad countries, is an important step for further improvement of the teaching system within the additional general education programs, implemented at the preparatory department.
