On October 30, 2020, the Preparatory School for foreign students held an online meeting-an acquaintance evening “it’s Good to have friends in the world!”. At this meeting, presentations about KFU, the Preparatory School for foreign students, Kazan and Russia were demonstrated. Listeners learned about the history of KFU, what foreign students study at our school, where they come from, what events take place at our school; listened to a story about the symbols and sights of Russia and Kazan and got acquainted with the traditions and culture of Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan.
Students got acquainted with the heads of the School and its departments. The meeting was addressed by:
– T. B. Alishev. external relations Provost, acting Dean of the Preparatory School, of KFU ;
– A. R. Mukhametov, Vice-Dean for Educational Activities
– D. A. Ivanova, Head of the Humanities Section,;
– E. D. Shimkovich, Head of the Department of Natural Sciences, Physics and Mathematics.
Our School listeners were actively engaged in this meeting. They prepared video presentations about their countries (China, Jordan, India, Ecuador, Iran), recited poems about the Russian language, friendship and love (S. Abdulla “Learn the Russian language”, I. Maznin “Let’s be friends with each other”, A. S. Pushkin “I loved you…”, etc.), sang songs (“Katyusha”, “You, and me, just you and me”, etc.), played musical instruments and performed national dances.
