On December, 2nd, 2021 a meeting took place between the students of the Institute of International Relations (group 04.1-106) studying Persian language and Iranian students of the group 20-2108B of the preparatory department for foreign students. At the meeting the listeners and students got acquainted and told about themselves, about their future profession and education in Russia. Khumoyun Karabayev, the student of IMO, told about the history of the Russian language, beginning from the creators of the Old Slavonic alphabet and Church Slavonic writing Cyril and Methodius, to the modern Russian language. Shahboz Gurbatov, a translator from Russian into Persian, helped the Iranian audience understand the incomprehensible words in the speech of the international students. Student Shcherbakova Dasha explained and showed in a simple way for foreign-language students how the education system in Russia is built, distinguishing pre-school, compulsory school and higher education. Student Mammadzadeh Kamandar in his speech focused on the forms of greeting and goodbye in Russian, pointing out their diversity in the national language and their limitations in Persian.

The Persian students of the KFU sub-faculty began their presentation with a film about Iran, its culture, and its nature. IMO students enjoyed watching the scenery and listening to Ghasemi Sedigeh Babajan and Abbasi Masumeh Behrouz. Students could notice the difference in Old Persian and modern texts, learned about the early history of the origin of the ancient Persians, what December 21st means for Iran (Iranian Khagdust Radin Mehdi told about it in good Russian). What a handshake means for Iran, and how to shake hands, explained Karami Puja listener Hossein Mohammad. Each of their speeches was accompanied by a translation into Persian, even though the meeting was held in Russian. The use of Russian and Persian in communication made the meeting understandable for both groups, and at the same time interesting and informative. At the end of the meeting, they thanked each other and suggested future joint projects.
