Vice-Rector for International Relations Timirkhan Alishev visited Quito’s Super Profi educational company during his ongoing trip to South America.
“The opening of this preparatory school is an important achievement upholding the good tradition of already launched programs in other countries, including China and Iran. In this regard, our primary objective is to provide high-quality teaching of Russian language. Our development in this direction can help us increase the number of Ecuadorian nationals in the student body. I should specifically mention the high interest shown by local parents in educating their children in Russia,” commented the Vice-Rector during his meeting.

The programs comprise two stages. The first semester is held in Ecuador, where students will use KFU-made textbooks and receive online instruction from our educators. In the second semester, the students move to Kazan to continue their learning.
The Vice-Rector also spoke with Ambassador of Russia to Ecuador Vladimir Sprinchan.
“Russia is among the leading trade partners in imports from Ecuador, mostly in agricultural produce. Teaching Ecuadorian nationals in Russia is going to have a positive impact in attracting talent to Russian-Ecuadorian business ties and developing bilateral relations. With that in mind, the Russian Embassy in Ecuador is ready to provide multifaceted support to our educational projects,” said Dr Alishev.

At this moment, the program has 20 Ecuadorian students. In total, there are 120 students from Latin America enrolled in the Preparatory School of KFU in the ongoing academic year.
