An invitation for foreign citizens to enter the Russian Federation is issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation at the request of an educational organization. In this regard, the university cannot guarantee the issuance of an invitation to enter the Russian Federation. Even if you enroll in a university, you may be refused by the authorized bodies of the Russian Federation to issue an invitation to obtain a study visa.

The invitation to all students of the Preparatory School is issued after the release of the enrollment order according to the data provided. The registration period for students on a contractual basis is at least 45 calendar days, for students on a state line – at least 30 calendar days.
Quota of the Ministry of Education and Science
A visa instruction is issued through the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation for foreign citizens and stateless persons who have enrolled in the quota for training foreign citizens (state line) for bachelor’s/specialty, master’s/postgraduate studies. The registration period is at least 30 calendar days.
You can find information about the readiness of the visa instruction in your personal account on the website “Education in Russia for foreign citizens”. When contacting the consulate (embassy) The Russian Federation must provide the number of your visa instruction in order to obtain a visa.
Students of the Preparatory Faculty who continue their studies in the state line, in order to re-receive visa support, must send a letter to the Department of Educational Work of the Internal Affairs Department by e-mail education@kpfu.ru

Study visa
On the basis of an invitation (or visa instruction), a single-entry study visa is issued at the consular department of the foreign missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for a period of no more than 90 days. During this visa period, KFU students must enter the Russian Federation and obtain a multiple-entry visa for a maximum period of 1 year (issued with full-time education). Documents for a multiple-entry study visa must be submitted to the Migration Department of the Russian Federation no later than 20 working days before the expiration of the single-entry visa. Based on this, the KFU Department of External Affairs recommends taking into account the stated deadlines and planning your arrival in Kazan no later than 40 calendar days before the expiration of a single-entry visa.
