I. Ulyanov-Lenin\u201d (1924), \u201cKazan Order of the Red Banner of Labor State University named after V.I.Ulyanov-Lenin&#8221; (1955), &#8220;Kazan Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor V.I. Ulyanov Lenin State University&#8221; (1979), &#8220;Kazan State University named after V.I. Ulyanov-Lenin&#8221; (KSU) from the early 1990-s, &#8220;Kazan (Volga Region) Federal university\u201d in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout all these years, Kazan University has always been the flagship of Russian education, the best intellectuals of Russia have studied or worked in it \u2013 politician V.I. Ulyanov-Lenin, writers S.T. Aksakov, L.N. Tolstoy, P.I. Melnikov-Pechersky, V.V. Khlebnikov, composer M.A. Balakirev, artist V.I. Jacobi, creator of non-Euclidean geometry N.I. Lobachevsky, chemist A.M.
